Teams Live Events – Roles

Organiser

The Organiser is responsible for creating the Event, then inviting Presenters, Producer and Audience.

They need to know about the event options and configuration.

Presenters

The people active in the Event or meeting.

Their discussions are broadcast to the audience.

They may give visual resources to the Producer, or they can share their screen themselves.

Producer

The Producer has a key role during the Event, responsible for selecting which feed is to be broadcast to the audience.

They can also broadcast resources from their own computer.

Audience

You choose who can watch your meeting – either ‘everyone via a link’, ‘invited people’, or ‘internal only’.

If permitted the audience can submit questions in text form.

Next Steps

  1. Check your licensing to ensure you have the correct licenses, and that your Teams configuration is set correctly.
  2. Plan your event, including how you will communicate with your audience before and after it.
  3. Train your staff. Organiser, Presenters and Producer all need time to get used to the systems, so that your event runs smoothly. The quickest way is to organise a focused Teams Live Events Training Course for your organisation.
  4. Practise, practise, practise.
  5. Have a great event!
